Business Services: Few art galleries can boast of a legacy that spans over four decades. Gallery Shoal Creek is an exception. Established in 1965, the gallery continues the tradition of representing talented artists, presenting engaging exhibitions, and building fine art collections.

Showcasing work by national, regional, and several international artists, the gallery’s collection melds figural work with impressionistic landscapes, representational imagery with contemporary expressionism. Figurative painter Milt Kobayashi, who lives and works in New York City, and surrealist René Alvarado, named Texas State Artist in 2009, are just two of the accomplished artists with strong ties to Gallery Shoal Creek.

Located in central Austin, the gallery is a warm inviting space for viewing art in an urban environment. With numerous windows and high ceilings, natural light permeates the gallery creating an open and airy interior that allows the artwork to shine.

In close proximity to the University of Texas, the State Capitol and the city’s vibrant downtown area, the gallery is easily accessible via North Lamar - located just one block east of North Lamar and 29th Street at Gabriel’s Court. With FINO Restaurant, Patio and Bar as a neighbor, art enthusiasts find the perfect pairing - fine art and fine cuisine.
